Effectively, the last reward is "Bruxelles 1910"and the year later it will be engraved " Turin 1911"-referring the Exposition Internationale de Turin, which took place in Italy. * Bell Size = 4,766 inch / 12 cmBore Size =0,459 / 11,66 mm* This Cornet is a really famous one manufactured by F.BESSON Paris. Its rotary valve SYSTEM let to switch different tones really quickly. Its patent was registered in 1882 & 1887. This Cornet is rare as originally built in C with the possibility to play in B, Bb and A-Ab when acting the different rotary valves. The first rotary valve corresponding to one tone and the second one corresponding to half-tone.This instrument supplied also with 2 simple slides to play without the rotary valves system.* F.BESSON Company was consideringthat the use of the rotary valve system on a C cornet was letting to play as well a Cornet solo part than a trumpet part. * It is written on the Bell :" Système Prototype F.B (monogram) F.BESSON Breveté S.G.D.G. 96, rue d'Angoulème PARIS * GRANDS PRIXParis 1900St-Louis 1904Liège 1905" *The Serial Number 72897 is engraved on the 2nd piston valve (F.Besson Breveté). The pistons valves are numbered 1,2 ,3.*This instrument is in an excellent shapewith a silver coat present at 98 %. It is perfectly functioning, smootly.The slides are easily removeableA little screw is messing on the second rotary valve(easy to find or to built with the model of the first screw rotary valve.)The first rotor is functionning but a little hard to turn because the cornet was not used a long time.
