Roland Jupiter 8
Tested and working perfectly.
This unit has been serviced extensively by vintage synth expert Steve Jones in Sydney.
Cosmetically the unit exhibits typical crazing and rust spots throughout but it sounds like a million bucks!
When we acquired this unit it needed some work and we made the decision based on Steve's stellar reputation to have it freighted to Sydney from Tokyo and back for a complete service. Steve's work is of the highest standard and is an authorized technician for Roland, Korg, Yamaha and Moog. I would be very wary of buying a Jupiter 8 that has not been serviced by a real professional who has documented the work carried out. Parts are extremely expensive and difficult to find. For buyers in the US we will introduce one of our partners there who are a similar caliber to Steve who can provide ongoing support at wholesale rates should anything go wrong down the track. Below is the work that was carried out on the unit from the work order July 2016 "Located and replaced failed Roland BA6632 VCA on lower module controller board. This was killing the VCF LFO on lower voices. Cleaned up gain selector switch. Replaced failed CA3046 transistor array which killed voice 4 VCO 2. Cleaned bad key contacts. Cleaned bad sliders. Replaced perished rubber buffers on the pitch bender. Calibrated bender and mod controls. Repaired dry solder joint on volume board that was silencing the upper output. Cleaned up all of the intermittent switches and controls" There is a guy in Poland who refinished the panels for about $400 usd. If the cosmetics bother you you could always send him the panels and he can completely refinish them.
Item will be sent via DHL express from Tokyo and will arrive in most locations in 2-3 days time. Buyers are responsible for paying their own customs tax. Any questions please ask
