The synth that took the 1980s by storm, the Yamaha DX7, was introduced in 1983 and has been used in pop music by such artists as Depeche Mode and Frankie Goes To Hollywood, in R & B music by Stevie Wonder and Babyface, in rock music by Queen and Lynyrd Skynard, and by industrial rockers Nine Inch Nails and Front 242 as well as techno groups such as Orbital and Underworld. And this is the extremely short list of artists that have used this ground-breaking digital synth to define a decade! Even the stock sounds of the DX7 have been prominently featured in hit songs throughout the '80s. Along with the Korg M1 and the Roland D-50, the DX7 is a must have for adding an authentic retro sound to your tunes!Cosmetic and Function Description
