Rare Rudall Carte & Co handmade solid silver flute #9725 (1960) - Hallmarked  This is a unique opportunity to acquire an historic and sought-after collector's flute by the iconic British makers Rudall & Carte. It is hallmarked for London 1960 and is constructed of Sterling silver. It has closed holes with offset G keys and C foot with the addition of a 'Brosser' key which offers an alternative and cleaner top F#. The condition is excellent and this flute plays well and is pitched at 440hz. It has had a recent service and adjustment and the pads are used but have life left in them and so we have not replaced them. The headjoints are not as responsive as a modern cut, however it plays nicely as is and a change to a bespoke modern headjoint will give a very classy set-up.
