- Bogner Brixton head
- Rare 12W rocker that gets signature Bogner tone in small, lightweight, low watt package. Lots of gain with classic and modern settings.
- Loud enough for gigging but also a perfect studio amp and home practice amp.
- Mint condition Bogner Brixton 12w 6V6 tube guitar amplifier head. This amp is in flawless mint condition, not a single mark on it. Excellent working condition and sounds great. No frills single channel design. This is one of the Bogner "international" line of amps, where each amp in the series is named for a different city around the world. This one, the Brixton, is described as the high gain model, and it certainly has a ton of gain on tap, but I actually like the lower gain crunch settings as well, as it produces a nice tight warm British style crunch. No EQ knobs on this amp, rather you shape the tone with the front panel switches. There's a 3 position voice switch which changes the gain structure from open/tight to a little fuller to a full throttle face melt (although at a considerable volume drop in that highest gain mode). Then there's a "deep" switch which adds a bit of a fuller low end response. Finally there's a standby/full power/half power switch which allows you to switch from 12w to 6w. Although it produces a noticeable volume change the feel is what you notice more in 6w mode as it adds a looser sag to your pick attack. I used this amp exclusively for recording but I think it is definitely capable of keeping up with a band in a rehearsal or gig situation.Specs & description from Bogner's website:

Perfect where high gain tones are wanted but need to be controlled in volume. Imagine plugging into an amp that sometimes thinks it's half great white shark and half pit bull but listens to your every command. The Brixton's angry in your face tonal attitude is both defiant and fearless. A pair of 6V6's in the fixed biased class AB power amp deliver 12 watts. The three position standby switch can engage a low power mode with roughly 6 watts for lower volume with a softer feel and tone. Volume and Gain controls allow you to dial in a wide range of semi clean, crunch and high gain sounds. The Deep switch changes the tone and feel from tight focused with fast attack to full voiced with increased bass and slower attack. The Voice switch is interactive with the gain control. The center position is the normal voice setting and switch to the right position for a bright, open and aggressive sound, toggle to the left for extreme higher gain at bedroom volumes. All international amplifiers feature high quality components, custom wound transformers, aluminum chassis and our unique black comet tolex with a classic salt & pepper grill.
