"You'll shoot your eye out, kid"Insanely RARE 1984 (possibly 83?) BC Rich  Japanese/USA hybrid. Neck-Thru Japanese craftsmanship with USA styled electronics package. I've owned many BC Rich guitars over the years (Vintage USA, Custom shop USA, USA and Japanese Bolt-ons), and this axe plays and sounds as good as the best of them. Do not confuse with the machine-made newer NJ Retro Series. Not even close.  Looks a lot like the one Slash used to play. The bidding on his starts this week at 30k.I've been collecting BC Rich guitars since 1987. Feel-wise, this Warlock is on par with my vintage USA built neck-thru models.  Neck is excellent, low action, with no dead spots. All electronics... Vari-tone, phase switching, coil taps, and booster work perfectly.  Classic chrome "R" tuners. A professional set up has the USA Kahler working great with spot on intonation. The pickups are Gotoh Dimarzio copies, and to my ears, they sound as hot and full as a Super Distortion. As with most older Warlocks, there are plenty of surface scratches and point dings, many of which have been touched up nicely. Zero breaks, cracks, or structural issues.  The plates and jacks are metal, not plastic like a lot of NJ models. The BEST of American/Japanese craftsmanship and innovation from the GOLDEN ERA of BC Rich. Don't let anyone tell you the Neck-Thru NJ's aren't amazing. Former BC Rich employees have mentioned that these early ones were such good builds that they were discontinued likely due buyers opting for these over the USA builds costing twice as much. Anyway, its a good one.Trusted seller with 100% positive feedback. Thanks for looking. More pics upon request.
