The Stentor Student I cello outfit (1102A) is, when set up in our instrument workshop, a very good beginner cello. It is hand-carved from solid tone woods and is an extremely popular choice for schools and individuals. Stentor are the world’s largest manufacturers of student stringed instruments and Stentor cellos are universally recognised as the bench-mark against which all others are judged. The differences between Stentor 1 and Stentor 2 is in the finger board and the pegs. These are ebony on the 2 and a higher grade of tone woods is used. Please note: all these instruments use solid hand-carved woods and no laminates (plywood). This instrument has been set up in our string workshop. Black Kun Tian fingerboard. All natural glue - no synthetics The 4/4 size cello is suitable for players aged roughly 15 and over. Upgrading the strings can have a major impact on the tone.
