Gibson shipping figures show 600 Triumphs made between 1975 and 1979 with only 207 made in White. This bass is in very good condition, it has a small area of buckle rash on the back of the body, some lacquer checking and some light finish wear on the back of the neck. The finish has yellowed quite a bit all over. It's fully set up with a straight neck and low action. The frets are in great shape. The volume pot has been changed and the control plate has a small repair around the output socket (see pic ) otherwise all original including the case. (the case has seen better days but still functions) The Les Paul Triumph was Gibson's flagship bass guitar: both in terms of build and electronics. Design was a collaboration between Gibson and Les Paul himself. It was launched in late 1971 as a replacement to the older Les Paul bass which was available from 1969-1971. The main change was the addition of a Hi-Lo impedance selector switch. It's been fully set up by my technician and the action is set nice and low. It has a big thumping sound. Serial number:72378122. Weight:10lbs 10oz. Neck dimensions, Nut width: 38 mm. Depth at nut: 20 mm. The Controls work as follows:Bass, Treble and Volume Self explanatory. The bass and treble have a very wide range.Tone Selector Three settings: hi, normal and deep bass.Phase Control Only works when both pickups are selectedImpedance Selector Hi for live use or Low for studio use (or live use with a Low-Impedance amplifier)*Free UK Shipping* For shipment costs outside the UK please e-mail or call us for a quote.
