Hi: Up for sale is my gorgeous 2008 Taylor GA3-12L Left handed 12-String Acoustic Electric Guitar. It has very little playing time on it and is in great condition. This is the second time I went to see Leo Kottke and came away having to have a 12 string acoustic. Well…I am mostly an electric 6-string player and I’m not well suited for acoustic stuff. As such, I have decided to sell this guitar. It’s too nice to just sit around in its hardshell case and not get played. The guitar has no issues and is ready to go; a great player with a sweet sound. And you know, you can always depend on Taylor to turnout exquisitely great acoustics. Included is of course the Taylor Hardshell Case, some case candy, extra strings, a humidifier, and a leather strap. I had a little difficulty with the flash and sun glare in some of the the photos. Shipping is a flat $35.00. No International sales. Thanks! Here’s all the skinny from Taylor: Manufacturer's Description The 12-string is part of acoustic guitar lore, and a major part of Taylor history. Our non-cutaway sapele/Sitka acoustic version is a contemporary take on the tradition: true 12-string tone, yet with a more slender hourglass shape for a smaller sonic footprint. Sapele - Origin: West Africa An alternative tonewood that joined the Taylor fold over a decade ago. It’s sometimes mistakenly referred to as African mahogany because it closely resembles the West African wood khaya, which is commercially known as African mahogany. Sapele is a highly sustainable, relatively fast-growing wood. Tonally, it does everything that mahogany does, with a little extra treble zing. We’ll be able to offer it for a long, long time. Goes Well With: Everything. Like ovangkol, it’s a great all-purpose tonewood that will deliver a consistent, balanced tone in a variety of playing applications, from finger style to strumming. Natural Sound Made Simple: Fishman Pickup with volume control in sound hole.
