Description
Brand: Kalamazoo Country//Region of Manufacture: United States
Model: KG-14

This is a very nice 1937 KG-14, with a beautiful sunburst, and the crown style peghead.  The FON is 82?-C with the "C" indicating that it is a 1937 model, according to Spann's book.   The back and sides are mahogany, with a adirondack, red spruce top, and the body meets the neck at the 14th fret.    The peg head is fine, no cracks or repairs, beautiful strong logo, and original style tuners.   They  appear to be original, but i can't be sure.  All braces and joints are tight, and no repairs are needed.  The neck set is straight, with good frets, good action and plenty of saddle left.  The neck has a slight vee shape, and the nut is 1 3/4".  The scale length is 24 3/4".    The bridge appears original, and the original spruce bridge plate is still intact.  I showed a closeup of the area around the bridge where there is some scarring from someone in the past removing the bridge.  I cleaned it up as best I could without adding any finish.  All of the finish is in good shape and appears to be all original.  The close up area of the bridge also show a pick guard crack at the edge of the guitar.  Another photo shows a closeup of the front treble side, in front of the waist.  There is a crack and some scuff marks there. This guitar is nice and loud with the original ladder bracing for the 30's blues sound.  Please look at the pictures and ask questions early so that there are no surprises when you receive the guitar. The case is a vintage soft shell case shown in the picture.  It is rough but in working condition.I will ship anywhere in the continental US. for $65.00.   I will ship by USPS standard shipping, UPS, or Fedex Ground, depending on your location.Bid with confidence.  Check out my Ebay feedback as a seller.  Most of my feedback, for sales of guitars, is listed on the the 3rd page.  Recent sales have mostly been firestripe pick guards.
