Vintage 1979 Gibson Les Paul Standard - all original from factory with no mods and no repairs. This guitar is completely original with no modifications ever done to it. There are no cracks or repairs anywhere on this guitar. It plays GREAT and sounds AWESOME like a 1979 Gibson Les Paul Standard should. The serial number is 70889589 and it also includes the non original hardshell case as pictured. The case has one broken latch on it but I used a bungy cord to hold it together. The case has very clean, odorless green felt on the inside and protects the guitar perfectly. This guitar comes with schaller strap locks and that is how it was when I purchased it. The original strap buttons were not there and do not come with the guitar. Everything else are factory original parts. All parts including pickups are original from the Gibson factory as manufactured back in 1979. One small story to go with this guitar is I believe the guitar was once signed by Brian Setzer. The person I purchased it from a few years ago said it had a signature on the front of the original white pickguard but it rubbed off as he played it. He could not read it to know who it was. I looked on the back and it is written "Signed by Brian Setzer Nov. 23, 1998". He said he changed the pickguard to black because he liked the way it looked better and that pickguard is included with this deal. I put the original white pickguard back on the guitar and that is the way it has been since I have owned it (about 2 years). I never thought much of the Setzer signature because I dont know if it was authentic and it was rubbed off anyway. The guy I bought it from didnt even know who Brian Setzer is. I am selling this guitar because I need money and it kills me to let it go but times are tough. I will answer any questions you may have about this nice guitar. I you need more photos or anything else, just let me know. The guitar will be shipped to your location for a flat fee of $75.00 shipping charges or free local pickup. No sales to Canada, Alaska, Hawaii, Overseas or International.
