Main Details:This Squier by Fender Stratocaster MIDI guitar has major features which will vary in importance depending on what you are looking for:MIDI guitar - the neck on this is pretty unique, with each fret divided into 6 sections (1 section per string), each of which forms a circuit when the string is pressed to it - resulting in highly accurate MIDI tracking with no latency (as opposed to the piezo pickup-type systems). Tuning and intonation do not matter at all for getting good tracking! There is a fairly good review of these being used for MIDI here including talking about the controls built into the pickguard and how they work with the synths: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l94mfexaki4 (disclaimer: this video is not mine).Rock Band 3 Controller: Rock Band 3's Pro mode uses the midi out to detect what the user is playing, so hitting an "E" string isn't going to cut it if the game wants a full E chord. This is quite different to Rocksmith, which is far more tolerant of sloppy playing.Normal Guitar jack. This guitar can get plugged straight into an amp as per a normal electric guitar with a normal cable. In all honesty, this isn't where this particular guitar shines but it is possible and an okay solution. If you're looking for this bullet point alone and don't care about any of the MIDI functionality, you should probably just look for a normal electric guitar.Item Specifics:This will be shipped in a brand new hard case bought specifically for this sale. I don't trust re-using a cardboard carton.Brand new Ernie Ball strings fitted and tested.
