This is the famous Air Band Equalizer NTI EQ 3. This one is a one owner unit, well taken care of in a Mastering Suite and it was serviced by Cliff Magg himself years ago (the inventor). Many Gold and Platinum albums, including a Grammy in 2002 were using this signal processor. It was working when retired but since then it has not been used and has not been tested. That's why we are selling it "AS IS" for repairs or parts. Please take into consideration that this model has over 20 years old and that all similar products has been sold here well over $2,000. If it turns out that is working, Good for you and if not, well, you can still service it and get a bargain anyway. At this price is a win-win situation for the seller.Designed to equalize without adding noticeable phase distortion, the NTI EQ3 was a TEC award nominee in 1995 in the Signal Processing Technology category. Originally designed by Cliff Maag, who has gone on to found Maag Audio, the NTI EQ3 was his original Air band EQ, and many feel, his best. Its six bands of EQ include a 'sub' band that works around 10hz, to control the superlow frequencies, as well as 40 hz, 160hz, 650 hz, 2.5 KHz, and their famous 'Air' band for the upper nearly-inaudible registers. All bands are about two octaves wide, and overlap each other. With both coarse (3db) and fine (1/4 db) detented controls, the EQ3 gives you all the control you need, while making your settings easy to remember. Very nice on the two-buss.NO RETURNS, NO EXTRA DISCOUNTS AFTER THE SALE IS DONE AND NO HARD TIME.
