National ResoPhonic Style O-14 Single Cone Brass Body with Etched Bright Nickel Finish Due, in part, to Mark Knopfler's use of the instrument on many Dire Straits records; this is the one most people imagine when they think of the famed National namesake. The National ResoPhonic Style O 14 Fret meets the demands of players needing easier access to the higher frets. Based on the original 1937 model, the hard rock maple neck clears 14 frets to the body. The brass body is made of thin gauge material polished to a mirror-like shine, nickel plated and etched with the traditional Hawaiian scene. The chicken-foot coverplate, formed back, and inlaid rosewood peghead complete the authentic look of this guitar. Playing this stunning guitar, it is very easy to get lost in the bell like tone of it's voice. With a nickel plated brass body, each note is sweet, ideal for delta style blues or more modern "MTV" feels. Recreating the classic noise of all National guitars, each AlNiCo cone is also hand spun. We find it is like playing a vintage radio, or the feeling of a good vinyl record. Take a moment to listen to our recording above and tell us what you think!Features :
