A Vintage 1963 Gibson A5 Mandolin, Two-point style, as played by Jethro Burns. Has original Cherry Sunburst finish, except for an area on the neck (please see photos). Has a nice flame figure in the maple back. The tailpiece looks more like a 1920's one to me, so is possibly an upgrade. The headstock is in the F5 shape and the scroll has an old repair. I have had this mandolin 30 years and it is exactly as I bought it. The headstock has Gibson logo and design in mother-of-pearl. Has original Kluson tuners. Comes with hardshell case. The fingerboard is bound rosewood.I have adjusted my price to reflect the neck finish and old peghead repair. If you are interested in buying this mandolin, please contact me first with your zip/postal code so I can give you more precise shipping information. The amounts posted are an average guideline.
