The back and sides of this guitar are constructed from Maple to provide a crisp, bright tone that perfectly complements the Spruce top. A new customized bracing scheme and wood thickness brings out some new dimensions which produce enhanced warmth, balance, and sustain, while a Maple-specific bracing profile for the backs enhance responsiveness. The 614ce offers a special hand-rubbed Brown Sugar stain giving it a rich, vintage look without adding extra thickness to the finish. Another great feature is the use of protein glues for the bracing and bridge, which optimizes the sound transfer between components.
