This is a 1976 Gretsch Chet Atkins Country Gentleman, model 7670, in exceptionally fine condition.   The serial number on the label reads 10-6094, and ‘Made in USA’.  The numbers translate to this guitar being manufactured the 10th month (October) of 1976.  This fine Gretsch even has its original hangtags, with matching serial numbers, and special neck adjustment wrench in the case pocket, along with the original sales receipt.  We just acquired this guitar from the family of the deceased original owner. The original walnut finish shows only minor playing wear, primarily a few nicks and dings and microscopic scuff marks.  There are no belt buckle scratches on the back.  The original owner obviously really babied this beautiful Country Gentleman. The neck is straight, and the original frets show some light playing wear.  There are no cracks in the body or neck or headstock repairs or structural issues of any kind.  There is not even any finish checking.  The ebony fingerboard has no divots, and the binding on the body edge and fingerboard is immaculate, with no signs of deterioration.  All the hardware is fully original, including gold Grover tuners, pickups, pickguard, gold bridge, and Gretsch Bigsby vibrato tailpiece, right down to the original gold-plated knurled strap buttons.  There is some light wear of the gold plating, primarily on the edges of the pickup surrounds, and on the bass side of the gold bridge where the palm of your hand might be anchored while playing. This fine Gretsch is in exquisite cosmetic condition.  The volume pots might use a little spraying with electronic cleaner, as they are sometimes a bit scratchy when you turn them.   This guitar comes in its original Gretsch royal blue plush lined hard-shell case, also in great condition.  The case key is in an envelope in the case pocket. We offer a 48-hour approval period with money back guarantee, so feel free to bid with confidence.  Choose 'Buy It Now', and we pay all shipping and insurance costs in the continental U.S., and half the mailing costs overseas.    Shipping to Australia is more costly than shipping to Europe or Japan, because this instrument's case size requires a full size guitar box whose dimensions are not accepted by the post office's package service to Australia.   However, shipping through Fed-Ex to Australia can be accomplished for $395. Enjoy bidding.
