1915 - 1919 GIBSON MANDOLIN GUITAR COMPANY ARMY NAVY SPECIAL STYLE DY MADE IN KALAMAZOO MICH. USA, VERY NICE CONDITION FOR A 100 YEARS OLD, RARE CONDITION
This is a very Beautiful instrument in as good of condition as you will find for old instrument, built in the USA from approx. 1915 thru 1919 or 1920 It is a nice playable mandolin. This has an ebony or rosewood fingerboard, mahogany neck, birch sides and back ? nice crack free spruce top. Also has the original bridge,tailpiece, and tuners no pickguard, in fact this may not have had a pickguard I see no signs of any clamp wear on the side where it should be clamped ir it feel off very early . I think this could have been refinished but I can't say for sure I don't know how well these were prepared for finish originally. This is a pretty rare instrument and the bonus is the condition is pretty good all things considered. I have just installed new ultra lite strings on this. 9-32 gauge No serial number found. Please take a good look at the pictures they give a good look at the condition of this mandolin. It will be well packed. Feel free to contact me with any questions you may have.
