THE KASUGA CUSTOM MODEL F-10 MANDOLIN MADE IN JAPANI bought this mandolin used, in Japan about 20 years ago and have hardly played it, not being much of a mandolin player. It's a really beautiful instrument, with what looks like mother of pearl inlays in the ebony? fingerboard. I think it has a spruce top with maple back and sides as is the usual combination on these models.
These are rarely found for sale on eBayUK or anywhere else from my experience and are always priced well in excess of my asking price so this is an excellent and rare opportunity to acquire one.
It is at least 25 years old, in very nice condition with just a couple of marks on the top (see photos) and a few other very minor marks from use. There is some wear to the first few frets but it's not affecting play at all. (again check the photos) One of the tuning pegs has a crack in it but it's still functioning properly.
The action is set pretty low, about 2mm between lowest string and the 12th fret, and about 1.5mm, or less, for the high string.
A cable tidy has been attached to the bridge tailpiece when a pickup must have been fitted in the past (it's gone now and there are no holes).
Will be shipped in a new Gator hard case. Shipping includes insurance.
Can also be collected in person from Abergele, North Wales.
