One of akind artist design beaded guitar "Tribute to Janis Joplin" When the artist, Barbara Lancaster, realized that the stress from the never ending treadmill of her work life in banking was creeping into her personal life, she decided to look for a hobby that could “take her away” from it all. As a lover of art, she dabbled in this and that, only to realize that she couldn’t even draw a stick figure. Her friends and family smiled politely and patted her on the head, but she did not let this stop her. She moved on to different mediums that would allow her eclectic personality and love of art and music to shine through. She eventually found happiness with glue. While decoupaging all things big and small, she realized that the pieces that inspired her the most, and made her clients the happiest, were musical instruments. The rest, as they say, is Mus-Artisical history as this child of the 60’s began creating beaded beauties that pay homage to the greatest musicians and genre’s of all time.
