Here comes a rare, ca. 80ies british BESSON SOVEREIGN cornet. The model is 927 - GS, the serial number is 784538.The bore size is .462 of an inch, measured inside the second valve slide. The silverplating is in immaculate condition, no signs of wear on the surface. Also no signs of corrosion or red hot under the plating. The only imperfection I find is a small ding on the lower side of the shepherd crook, two very small dings on the lead pipe (hardly visible) and some solder traces on the 3rd valve tubing, professionnally done.Other than that, this cornet is in perfect condition. It comes back from a professional check up and chem cleaning, new felts and corks were added. All slides and caps are free, the valve action is smooth and fast with very good compression. Both triggers work smoothly and easily. The mouthpiece is a british Lewington Mc Cann that fits perfectly. Sorry no case.I offer this beautiful and rare instrument (this line is no longer in production - it used to be the top of the line of BESSON professional brass instruments) From Switzerland to worldwidePriority shipping to the US is $53, please ask for other international destinations.
