This amp is in exceptional condition and a favorite of our recording artists. Our chairman says it is “Spectacular, heavenly tone, especially with a Les Paul.” This Gibson BR-6 guitar amplifier is from the 1940s or 1950s and one of the nicest examples from that period that we have seen. Made in Kalamazoo, Michigan, you will be hard pressed to find a better condition model of this. Look at the photos and see for yourself how nice the covering is even after 60+ years. 3-prong plug installed and the amp sounds fantastic! Great natural overdrive reminiscent of the old 50’s recording artists. A little history. We debated on whether to sell this amp and the advisory committee voted 4 to 3 in favor of selling, largely because we need to make room and the old amps are not ones we want to loan out. They are used only in the studio. Jensen Field Coil Speaker, made in Chicago, Illinois. Tubes are listed as 65J7, 65N7, 6V6, 6V6 and 5Y2. Model is shown as BR-6P We plugged the amp in and played if for about 2 hours. It is fully functional with full tone at lower volumes and nice breakup at higher volumes. To be perfectly straightforward, we almost didn’t sell this amp, but in the end, we need to make room so it is a great find of ours that can be a great find of yours. For International shipments, you assume all liability of customs and delivery. We charge a flat $250 packing and shipping fee for International shipments. We use eBay’s shipping calculator, which provides estimated shipping charges on listings where “Free Shipping” is not offered. If you estimate shipping with a zip code that is different than the zip code registered to your User ID, eBay’s shipping calculator will make the adjustment at checkout. Additionally, FedEx charges a surcharge for delivery in certain rural areas of the country that does not, for some reason, show up in eBay’s estimate calculator; but it does at checkout (we wish we could control this, but we can’t). FedEx does this based on the +4 extension of your primary 5-digit zip code. For example, eBay’s shipping calculator may quote you one price based on your primary 5-digit zip, and then figure out that your requested street address at checkout places you within the rural surcharge area, changing the shipping price to an alternate amount that was originally quoted. We hope you understand this is beyond our control. Please keep in mind that we will sometimes list items on multiple platforms.
