It's been a while, but I have finally finished another of my Fender "SRV #1" Tribute Stratocasters. It's been several months since I offered one for sale.This is NOT a Fender Custom Shop SRV Strat. This is BETTER! You can compare and see that this one is much more accurate to the original. This started as a new 2014 Fender 1960's Road Worn Stratocaster. I use these because they are 1) The best Fender production guitars you can buy, in my opinion and 2) they are made in such a way that they allow for the most ideal replication and they are finished with nitrocellulose lacquer, very much like a pre-CBS Strat. I have heavily modified the guitar, as you can see. The process to age it correctly is very time-intensive and has taken me years to perfect. On this particular example, I went for how the #1 Strat looked with the prism letters on the pickguard. The guitar has the factory neck, body, and electronics. The pickups are Fender Tex-Mex Pickups. They sound amazing! The tuners are gold Kluson vintage-style. The tremolo is a gold left-handed vintage trem. I have all 5 springs in use, so the tremolo is very tight and stiff. The pickguard is a single-ply black with prism letters. I have many photos from multiple angles to get the detail. The LAST photo is Stevie's original after his death. I even simulated a repaired crack in the headstock, just like his.Here are two videos which feature the guitar being played live, by me with a vocal/rhythm backing track. You ALSO get a "Big Note" Earth III replica leather strap (also hand-made, by me) made to exact specs, except I tool the notes into the leather instead of sewing them on.Finally, you get a Flight Case with the SRV & Double Trouble tour stencils on the lid. The case is superb and very high quality with 3 lock-down latches. The end result is stunning. You will be very hard-pressed to find such an accurate likeness AND a guitar that plays and sounds as good as it looks! This is not meant to just look at. You can, and should, play this guitar! As the videos show, it will perform the SRV style very well! It's a great package and includes an amazing guitar with MANY extras and upgrades (not to mention the meticulously detailed relic job to match the famous icon).
