Remarkably, there are NO nicks, cracks, dents or dings on this B20 Beauty. It's in GREAT shape with a lovely, chocolately patina that has befriended it. And I mean a hell of a nice chocolatey dark patina! This beauty has aged exquisitely! AS YOU CAN SEE THIS ONE IS FACTORY STAMPED IN RED LABEL INK "THIN"!!!
I could barely contain my joy when I came across this 2 Foot beauty. I've only seen a few 24" PreSerial 602 before, but I've NEVER seen a "THIN" ride. And if I die without seeing another one I will be at peace with at least having the memory of this one.
This particular 602 belonged to a very famous producer who collects 602s like those end-of-the-world-is-nigh people collect black beans to store in their concrete re-enforced basement. This Paiste is studio tested and radio approved!
SOUNDFILE COMING AS SOON AS ONE IS RECORDED!!! Weighing in at an AMAZING 3138 grams, this 602 plays like a beautiful slightly DRY Medium Thin 602 Crash Ride or Thin Ride! What's interesting about this specific 602 the initial attack has a subtle chime-like quality that is followed by a fairly dark, and controlled wash. I would not call this cymbal dry, however it does have a nice subtle stick definition that rides on top. The bell is medium low in pitch and solid. And of course it has that inimitable CLEAN sounding, clear, focused, articulate Paiste 602 tone-with all the mellowness of a 40-50 year old cymbal. Slightly dry, focused, super mellow, articulate, subtle airy Vintage 602 tone. And with a plain that big it's a joy place your stick anywhere on it. You can really draw the sounds out.
Nothing sounds quite like it. NOTHING!!! It's 2 feet of felicity! This Paiste PreSerial 602 24" Ride can be used on ANYTHING! Rock, funk, pop, classic rock, punk, country, big blues, or jazz, use it ANYTIME you want to make a statement-whether bold or implied. And hell this 40+ year old Paiste ain't exactly the easiest cymbal to come by. So do yourself the honor of grabbing this MASSIVE BUT MELLOW, ULTRA RARE Paiste PreSerial 602 24" THIN Ride in EXCELLENT CONDITION!!! And HANG ON TO IT!! YOU MAY NEVER SEE ANOTHER!!!
