The instrument is labelled G.Wheatstone & Co, Inventors, Patentees & Manufacturers, 15 West St. Charing X Rd. LONDON WC This example is numbered 29456 and is listed in the Wheastone’s sale ledger for 1922 sold on Nov 02. The ledger can be viewed at The Horniman Museum or online at http://www.horniman.info/DKNSARC/SD01/PAGES/D1P1790L.HTM The instrument itself is in perfect condition and can be played. The carrying case is also labelled but has some damage to the locking strap that has become detached. The strap is included.Offers welcome.
