Up for sale is this beautiful '67 reissue Gibson Flying V in a gloss heritage cherry finish. Made prior to Gibson's recent cost cutting measures, this Flying V comes with all the characteristic hallmarks of quality the Gibson name is known for. (Note: This is not the more recent "faded" version of a Flying V. This is the nicer version modeled after 1967 specs with a normal gloss finish). Cosmetically, the guitar is in excellent condition. The only flaws are a few subtle marks around the strap button and edges, as well some very modest buckle rash near the point of the "V" on the back keep this from being near mint. The frets are in magnificent shape, with virtually no wear to speak of. This guitar has clearly seen little to only occasional use, and has spent the majority of its life in the case. The neck and body are very clean with only a couple very minor nicks that are visible only upon close inspection. All the hardware is in excellent working condition with no issues.  The neck sports a width of just a hair over 1 11/16" (approx. 1.69" with a digital caliper). The profile is a medium-C shape with generous shoulders that fits very nicely in the palm of your hand.  Sonically, all the electronics work as they should, and the pickups sound clear and full. The guitar comes with the original hardshell case, which is in good condition. All the latches work as they should. The only exception is the lock which has come off the upper part of the case, as often happened on these models. The upper part of the lock is included, and will be in the case when it ships. If you choose to use it, it is an easy repair. The guitar also comes with a number of the original tags, as well as the Gibson paperwork. The price is $949.99. Shipping is $49.99 to the domestic USA. International shipping maybe available to some countries. Please contact me for more information.
