1964 Fender Vintage smooth white tolex Reverb tank black face plate1964 smooth white tolex with black control plate. All original tank in excellent cosmetic and functional condition. No corrosion or rust thanks in part to the California climate. This tank nails that classic Fender reverb tank sound that cannot be duplicated. Even the Fender reissue tanks don't quite get it. Here are the important numbers. Chassis # R07513 - Spring tank numbers 64.40 - AS3064 - Cabinet label N-I - Trans numbers - 606-427 - 606-421 - 606-443. From what I can tell, no electrical components have been changed. Everything looks dead stock original, and it sounds incredible. This tank corresponds to a short production point in time at Fender that incorporated a smooth white tolex with the Fender Blackface control panels. Fender quickly switched to black tolex and the Fender Blackface line was born. The smooth white tolex and black face plate amps had a very short production run.I am unable to offer returns on vintage gear. The tank will be insured and packed with extreme care in an oversize shipping box.
