The Spanish luthier José Romero is a fine craftsmen who learned his trade in the workshop of José Ramirez, but has now made his mark in the world of flamenco guitars. Many of Spain's top players use Romero's guitars. He is now more highly regarded that the Ramirez workshop for his fantastic flamenco guitars!This impeccably crafted, handmade guitar uses fine woods of the highest quality. This concert flamenco possess a wonderful, burning flamenco voice, and a great Flamenco GROWL! The trebles are crystal clear and concentrated. The basses are deep, yet crisp. The balance between trebles and basses is excellent. All of this, in a very musical instrument-- that possess all the qualities one expects in a great flamenco guitar. This is undoubtedly one of the best flamenco guitars I have ever owned!... & I have owned many - Manuel Reyes, Conde Hermanos (Esteso), Francisco Barba, Gerundino, Ramirez, Valeriano Bernal, Andres Dominguez Guerrero, Jeronimo Pena Fernandez, etc....This Romero easily rivals & Surpasses many of those!THE SPECS ARE: Top: Select German Spruce Back & Sides: Royal Spanish Cypress Scale: 660 mm Nut: 52.5 mm Tuners: Fusteros “Antigua" Although it is a 20 year old instrument; this guitar has not seen much play. I believe it to be one of the proverbial “Kept under the bed in its case” guitars.....Truly! Yet when you play it; it has all the sounds of a well matured & played in instrument. The action is incredibly easy. The response is instant! It is a featherweight guitar & thus incredibly lively in sound! This guitar is an "Especial" Model. It has been appointed the "Highest Grade" of Select German Spruce for its soundboard, & an intricate wood inlay in it's headstock . Very uncommon for Romeros guitars. The bridge also has a beautiful 'Diamond' detail in bone & rosewood. ( See pics)Condition is amazing!The soundboard has almost no signs of play. There are a few minor scratches & tiny dings on the sides; but nothing major. The back does have a few light belt buckle marks in the finish. But nothing ‘through’ the finish or into the wood. All, purely cosmetic scuffing. So minor I couldn’t even capture it for these pics. Fingerboard & frets are like new. Comes with a excellent condition “Superior” hardshell case *** Bidders--- Please, do your due diligence...***Please Google "Jose Romero Flamenco Guitar for sale.
