Each mandolin features an authentic 1894 vintage nickel inlaid into the back of its headstock and comes packaged with a reproduction 'Nickel a Day" advertisement from 1894, framed and matted with the serial number handwritten to verify its authenticity.Constructed with exceptional AAA red spruce for the tops and highly figured maple back and sides, each 120th Anniversary F-5 Mandolin has a figured maple neck with a rounded-V profile and ebony fretboard with Tree of Life inlay made of mother-of-pearl, abalone, and silver wire. Other appointments include ebony two-foot compensated bridge, gold two-piece tailpiece, gold Waverly tuners, black/ivoroid/black binding, and a tortoisoid pickguard inlaid with the 120th Anniversary motif.Choose between three finishes - The 1904 (black with red walnut back and sides); 1912 (amber top with "Pigeon Blood Burst" back and sides); or 1923 (Cremona burst top, back, and sides).Each mandolin comes with a black hardshell case, lined in olive plush and a 120th Embroidered Motif.
