Up for auction is this beautiful Acme piccolo banjo. I was told this was made by S.S. Stewart. This is a short scale professional grade 5 string banjo - this is not a toy or child's instrument. This style and size instrument is incredibly rare. The banjo has recently been serviced, restored and set up. It features its original neck, ring, and what I believe is the original skin. The tuners have been replaced with the highest grade Waverly tuners. The bridge has been replaced with a high end Grover bridge. I was told some of the hooks were replaced. The banjo has some wear but nothing unexpected for anything vintage. The instrument is incredibly playable and stage ready - it requires no work.
