I have this very well-kept King Ultimate 1121 Mellophone up for sale. This is an earlier Ultimate model (2005-2006 maybe?) with the very handy reverse-sprung first valve saddle. The King mellophone is legendary for its powerful projection and exceptional playability. This horn has been maintained well, and while it does show a few signs of age, all slides and valves work perfectly and have excellent compression. There are a few worn spots on the lacquer and some small surface scratches here and there. I had the horn professionally serviced earlier this year where some dents in the tubing were removed and straightened, the bell was rolled out, and the whole horn received a chem clean. This is a fantastic, exceptionally well playing instrument that will serve you well for many, many years to come.Includes the original aluminum frame wood-shell case and a carrying strap, both in good condition. No mouthpiece is included in this sale, but the horn accepts most standard mellophone and trumpet mouthpieces.
