GRETSCH "FREDKASTER" 7" x 14" SNARE This is a prototype for a limited edition, likely one of a kind! To celebrate Fred Gretsch's 50 years in the musical instrument business, the company released 100 of these drums, with 50 staying in the USA. This model features a 7" (depth) x 14" (diameter) 4-ply (maple/poplar/maple/maple) shell, Broadkaster-style 302 hoops, Micro Sensitive throwoff and butt plate, and internal muffler, and Max Roach-style nameplate. While the bearing edge on the production models is a Broadkaster-style reverse roundover, this one has a more standard Gretsch 30-degree profile (see photo). The condition is excellent. The original heads have some wear, but that's about it. Expect the usual minor signs of use and transport, but this drum looks like new from a very short distance. Case and paperwork are not included. Please review the supersized photos and contact us with any specific questions or concerns.
