Peak Tone Quality Seasoned Sound Board $9900 obo. Includes adjustable padded storage bench.This piano was made in Japan in 1979. It was meticulously restored in 2007 and kept in a humidity controlled environment and tuned regularly. You will NEVER get this kind of tone with a new piano. Between 1965-1985 Yamaha made some of the best uprights in the world easily rivaling top brands.The UX was created with upgrades over the U3 models including:*The famous X-shaped soundboard frame improved the sound and added strength to the construction of the piano
* Manufactured using higher grade materials than the standard U series pianos
* The front panel is vented to allow more sound from the front of the instrument
* Internally the bass strings are longer on the UX models than the standard U model pianos, even though the pianos are the same in height. Yamaha have achieved this by curving the bridge at the bottom of the piano. Higher grade wood and felt are used on hammers and dampers on all UX models
* These are just a few features that make for quite a different instrument than any other Yamaha pianoDon't be fooled by cheap pianos sold elsewhere. This piano is well cared for, quality, and will continue to be so for decades. Details of working parts:
