Up for sale is an absolutely killer featherweight, fat necked early '61 single Cut Melody Maker in beautiful original condition. I've owned pretty much every vintage Gibson worth having, and these '50s spec single cut Melody Makers remain a firm favourite, as they're the perfect mix of an SG and an LP Jnr with all the 'good stuff' of feel, vibe and tone, for reissue money. This one may be the most resonant and piano-like example to date, and it just rings and shimmers to such an extent you don't even need to plug it in half the time, but the pickup is also unusually hot and punchy so it really snarls electrified. It's free from breaks and repairs, and is all stock save the wraptail which is an excellent aged repo, and two tuner posts, and is set up and ready to play.
