This is a heartbreaker. There is a family emergency and several guitars must be sold. This is, for folk, bluegrass, country pickers one of the best out there. Let me be clear. This is truly signed by Doc Watson. I will even ship you the poster from the tour as proof. It is also signed by Peter Rowan, of the Bill Monroe Bluegrass Band. I tried to get Tony Rice to sign it as well but he slipped out the exit to the performance venue while I chatted with Mr. Rowan. Here's the best part. I just had a master luthier re-set the neck. This neck does NOT have a truss rod. Therefore, when the neck started to pull back after about 40 years, I spent the several hundreds of dollars to have the neck steamed off and reset back on. This is the most perfect playing Martin Dreadnought I've ever laid my fingers on. It plays like a dream. I've been playing 20 years and I gig in NYC and Memphis a couple times a year. The top shows wear relative to its age. There is the expected crazing and couple of dings. The binding has yellowed with age. I am the second owner. New frets and perfectly playing neck. Intonation to die for. I will post videos very shortly. The clip I posted was supposed to be HD. Not sure why it's not, my apologies, but you can hear the guitar darn good none the less.Video of this guitar for sale - ambient tones via iPhone camera: https://youtu.be/OtgjMRA--ow

I can provide the receipt for the recent neck set.
Will ship with zip up heavy duty gator brand dreadnought case. I love Doc Watson and saw him on tour in the Northeast. He played this guitar backstage with me. Yes, Doc Watson strummed and picked this very guitar. His comment: "Well, 74 and 75 weren't good years for Martin due to a strike, son. But, I'll be darned if you didn't get one of the few good ones! She sounds just fine!" David Holt was on the tour and sort of shut Doc down from talking more to me which I wish he hadn't.
Yes, the guitar is priced higher than other '74 D-35's because it is signed. Ask all the questions you want. I am not a technician or luthier but I can tell you this is a beautiful sounding and looking specimen of the famed D-35.Oh yeah. And shipping's on me in the lower 48.
