1946 Gibson J 50, no Fon number, original owner said its a 46, it weighs 3.7 pounds, light as a feather, tone like a rocket. Excellent sound, wow. Ive had the opportunity to play at least 100 of these post war j 45/50 vintage guitars. They growl, some are better than others, this one is very responsive and darn near one of the best sounding instruments ive ever heard. Excellent tone, projection nice deep low end and its got that punchy mid deep tone that Gibsons are notorious for. I can send you a sound demo via email if intrested. I had my luthier at Moze guitars, martin/gibson authorized reglue some of the original braces. They took the back off to do the job right. It has the original bridgeplate, which is incredible, ill email pics of the inside to interested buyers only.
