If you are looking at these pipes then I don't need to explain the quality behind McCallum bagpipes from Scotland. This set is used and in great shape with some new parts. The stocks are African blackwood - fully combed and beaded. There are no cracks or chips in the wood. The previous owner, the original purchaser (in 2012 I believe), stored them in the case so the metal sole of the chanter banged up against the sections of the base drone. Due to this there is a row of small depressions in the wood, barely noticeable unless the light hits it just right, but I wanted to mention for full disclosure. You can barely see the dings but my OCD had me turn that section so the dings were facing inward and thus completely hidden. I tired to get a picture of the ding marks but they were so small they didn't show up well in the final two pictures. Imitation ivory projecting mounts, engraved alloy ferrules, slides and ring caps. Imitation ivory and engraved alloy mouthpiece with McCallum plastic pipe chanter with engraved alloy sole. Included is a second McCallum chanter that is plain synthetic material at the sole if that is your preferred look. The tenor and drone reeds are Ezeedrone and have no issues or problems. I installed a new gold cord and bag cover last month (deluxe model with zipper and Velcro closure, flat gold trim and a nonslip patch). The bagpipe bag is brand new and pretty much never used - Bannatyne hybrid with bottom zip and water trap. These bags are great since you get the feel of the real leather exterior for strike-ins but don't have the hassle of treating leather due to the synthetic interior. The bag is solidly airtight, the stocks were professionally mounted on the bag and it comes with a tube of zipper lubricant. The carry case is from The British Shop and is in decent shape. (Comes from a non smoking home so no nasty odors). Included is an almost new roll of black waxed hemp, an almost new roll of yellow unwaxed hemp and a new roll of yellow waxed hemp. Pipers Choice bore oil and pull through swab line, plastic chanter reed case and two cane chanter reeds. One chanter reed is medium and the other is easy. Last are three fabric swabs for cleaning out the drones. Let me know if you have any questions or would like a picture of anything else. I think you will be happy with the pipes and the only reason I'm selling them is due to unexpected expenses elsewhere.
