What makes this guitar special: This guitar looks super bad ass - triple black combination with a chunky maple neck & hardtail bridge - and add to that the fact that she's a hefty 10 pounder & you've got a real beast of a Strat! Professionally refretted with bigger frets so she plays like dream. Cosmetic Condition: Cool vintage vibe with good, honest play wear - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches, weather checking & some finish wear. There's a very tiny superficial crack on the lower part of the headstock near the low E tuner. The volume knob looks like it may have melted a little bit where the numeral 1 would be. Overall the guitar has a really great look to it with a gorgeous patina.Neck: Nicely rounded, somewhat chunky maple neck with skunk stripe & black dot inlays. Unoriginal big frets are in great shape with hardly any wear. Large headstock with bullet truss rod & double string trees. F-tuners are in good working condition. 1 5/8" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod is functioning.Body: Contoured, solid body finished in black. Tight neck/body connection. String-thru bridge with adjustable saddles. 3-ply black pickguard shows plenty of pick wear, but no cracks. Guitar weighs 10 lbs 0.7 oz.Pickups: Original single coils with even pole pieces & black covers. 7.37K ohms; Middle - 5.62K ohms; Neck - 5.64K ohms. Master volume & dual tone controls with black skirted knobs. Pots date to '80 & all electronics are in good working condition.Case: Original hardshell case included. Case is in good shape despite the broken middle clasp.
