Vintage Gibson 5-String Closed-Back Banjo (1947-1951 Logo)Please see the link below for all of our HD photos of this banjoThis banjo is in good working condition with some cosmetic issues. The neck is straight, the frets are level, the action is comfortable, and the banjo plays great overall. There is one pearloid inlay missing from the fingerboard on the 5th fret. There are few small gouges in the fingerboard, on the 7th fret, 22nd fret, and the 20th fret. There are some minor cracks in the outer plies of the back, one by the treble side and two by the bass side. These cracks do not extend through the wood (see the photos of the inside of the back piece). There are some chips in the paint on the backside of the neck. The head is in good shape, free from pits or rips. There is checking, chips, scratches, nicks, dings, and scuffs in the finish from age and use, and there is some scuffing and finish loss on the forearm rest. Please see the photos for full details.
