Description Product Description This ESP Custom Shop FRX features a mahogany body with a flame maple top and natural finish. The top has an interesting carve that complements the custom flame paint job, so be sure to spend some time with the photos. We haven't seen anything that compares to that! The maple neck features set-thru construction, creating an exquisitely comfortable neck heel and great sustain. The ebony fretboard has 24 jumbo frets with offset dot inlays. I'm really impressed with this fretwork. It intonates incredibly well all over the neck, and the frets have that precise, effortless feel that makes for a happy fret hand. You won't have to do any work to this fretboard for quite some time. The headstock has a flame maple veneer with matching flame graphics. For pickups, this axe is loaded with two Seymour Duncan humbuckers - a TB-6 in the bridge and an SH-1 in the neck. These are both wired to a push/pull coil tap. ESP did a great job dialing in the system: You won't get any volume loss between humbucking and single-coil mode. Gotoh locking tuners and a gold stoptail-style bridge will keep everything in tune no matter how hard you play or how far you bend. Immaculate build quality tops everything off: This axe feels like it will stay in great shape for decades.
