1951 Epiphone Zephyr Cutaway Sunburst with original hard shell Lifton case.  This is a 1951 Epiphone Zephyr Cutaway in sunburst finish. Amazing all original condition including vintage Lifton hard shell case. Here's the details;  The Good: Truthfully, this guitar is all good!  All parts are original including the tuners and the electronics. The finish shows some light crazing and a few dings but otherwise it's in great shape. Binding is solid all around with only the slightest signs of shrinkage. Neck joint is tight and has not been reset. Beautiful 3 piece mahogany neck and rosewood fretboard. Original pick guard with "E" logo which has been re-glued long ago.  The Bad: There really isn't anything bad about this time capsule. There are some dings and scuffs - a few worm trails by the jack - but otherwise it's truly in amazing condition for its age. Case shows obvious signs of wear with some deterioration on one end of the handle but all latches work. Case closes easily and feels solid to carry.     International shipping at buyer's expense. Easy return policy; you must notify me via eBay messages only within 48 hours of receiving the guitar that you wish to return it. If not, it's yours. Epi's journeyman 17" instrument, the Zephyr Regent was positioned against its main competitor, the Gibson ES-350. Featuring a deeper cutaway than its Gibson rival, the Zephyr Regent facilitates upper fingerboard access by two to three frets.  Early Kalamzoo-made Zephyrs used older, pre-Gibson, Epiphone parts including pickups, and the classic metal Epiphone bikini headstock logo. John Lee Hooker used a thinline Epiphone Zephyr widely throughout the 1960s.
