This beautiful solid wood vintage parlor is actually in very good restorable condition.  Premium Brazilian rosewood back and sides is on par with Martin and Larson (maker?) guitars of the same era, and actually, the center perfling, as well as the end perfling on the lower bout, and circular perfling around the soundhole do in fact closely match Martin instruments of the pre-war period.  I've owned and sold over a dozen pre-war Martins, and this guitar's cosmetic details are really alike to early 20th Century Martin instruments. In terms of dates, the instrument is X-braced, and the headstock is solid, rather than slotted.  Due to these details, as well as the small parlor size of the body, I am estimating the instrument's age to the mid to late 1920's.In terms of work to be done - the bridge, which appears original, has been poorly re-glued.  This should be redone.  Bridgeplate is also chewed up, and should be replaced.  The frets are not very well installed, especially above the 12th fret.  Most noticeably, the headstock tuner guide holes were enlarged poorly, and some rosewood on the cap chipped slightly.  This, again if I were keeping the instrument, I would address.  The neck could probably use a re-set to bring the action down as well.  Finally, a short length of rope binding is missing (pictured).A great and worthy restoration project, I have never seen an instrument like this, I am sure it will be a great player when it's treated with a little TLC.
