This Custom Shop marries a Carpathian spruce soundboard to exotic Goncalo Alves back and sides. Aesthetically, this fine selection of Goncalo Alves displays a gorgeous figure that you just can't find in other tonewoods. The beautiful variegation that this tonewood displays is stunning, and its unique grain pattern on the bookmatched two-piece back is absolutely mind-blowing. The Carpathian spruce top, the Goncalo Alves body, and smaller 1/4 Golden Era Adirondack spruce braces give this custom OM its incredible balance and tonal range with full lows and a sparkling trebles. The smaller 000-14 fret body allows this guitar to shine no matter what style you play, and the Venetian cutaway gives you full access to the higher registers on the ebony fretboard. Employing a tonewood that's rarely used for Martin necks, the 25.4 -scale neck of this OM is carved from solid Spanish cedar into a low profile shape with Martin's ergonomic, superbly-playable Performing Artist taper. A set of nickel Gotoh open-geared tuning machines, a bone nut, and a solid black ebony Pyramid bridge with a bone saddle offer superior tuning stability, intonation, and performance.
