This piece acquired in a trade is a mint condition 60's series Classic Strat, designed to give players an affordable doorway to the past. The Made in Mexico Strat's have a great reputation and this one is no exception. The Lake Placid Blue finish really comes to life against the mint pickguard, and the cream knobs and covers completes the vintage-vibe packageThe glossy maple neck has a comfortable C shape and the old school 7.25" radius which has more curve than most modern guitars. It is not awkward to play and the arc provides a great platform for chords, picking, mild bends. Even the truss rod screw is placed at the bottom of the neck to heighten its authenticity. Tonally, the '69 style single coil pickups bring plenty of love to the table. The neck pickup is rich and warm, the in between settings have incredible glassy quack and the middle/bridge pickup gives you great attack for snappy Robert Cray style licks. We like the bounce and touch sensitivity of lower output Strat pickups, and these 5.5K babies fit right in. We were actually a bit surprised at how much we liked this guitar, so if you are looking for easy access to great Strat tone, don't miss out on this deal!Orders received by 12:00EST will be shipped the next day.
