Painstakingly crafted in the Martin Custom Shop, the D-35 Seth Avett sports a tight, evenly gained high-altitude Swiss spruce soundboard that was harvested in the winter to offer a top that's lighter in weight with improved stiffness. Paired with thinner 1/4 standard X bracing, the D-35 Seth Avett provides exceptional tonal clarity projection, and responds beautifully to your playing nuances. Just as you'd expect on a D-35, the D-35 Seth Avett features solid East Indian rosewood sides and that famed 3-piece back. Setting this D-35 apart from the standard model, the D-35 Seth Avett boasts a strikingly figured flamed koa wedge as opposed to a solid East Indian rosewood wedge, which produces a unique sonic response and a stunning aesthetic that'll really catch your eye. The D-35 Seth Avett still has all of the tonal richness of rosewood, but the koa back adds a little more top-end shimmer and sparkle. An elegant mixture to standard and Avett-selected appointments, the top carries a Style 28 with a fine herringbone center ring, a fine herringbone top inlay, a black pickguard and grained ivoroid binding while the back showcases a Style 35 back purfling and grained ivoroid binding. Modern playability and superb fretting hand comfort is provided by the ergonomic Performing Artist select hardwood neck. Designed by Avett himself, the solid black ebony fingerboard bears custom Avett copper snowflake inlays that really gives this D-35 a distinctive look. When you need to plug into an amp or PA system, the Custom Shop D-35 Seth Avett comes fitted with premium Martin Gold Plus Natural 1 electronics to reproduce the guitar's natural acoustic voice with incredible accuracy. Finally, this custom signature edition is tied together with a set of vintage-style open-geared tuners with bu
