Up for your consideration here is 2001 Gibson Les Paul Standard Plus in a stunningly beautiful light burst finish with a neck that is technically a 50's neck but is quite slim to me and feels more like a 60's slim taper. This particular guitar has an exceptionally curly figured top that gives it some amazing texture and character from any angle; Easily one of the coolest tops I've come across. This is one of the very best sounding and playing Les Pauls I've ever had the pleasure of spending time with. I only recently purchased it but due to financial difficulties, I am now forced to let it go which is quite painful for me, as I've become very attached to her. This is a 2001 Standard Plus, so it has Grover tuners as standard. It has been upgraded with premium graphite saddles and a set of Seymour Duncan '59 pickups. It recently received a full pro-level setup by the legendary Dave Neely, here in Los Angeles. He is a custom luthier and tech to the stars who came up in the Gibson Custom Shop years ago and he personally commented on what a fantastic quality example of a Les Paul this one is. Big beefy tone and ease of play like you wouldn't believe. Of course, set up is purely subjective and you may end up wanting to tweak it a bit but rest assured, the neck is straight with no issues or repairs, the action is nice a low and she's perfectly intonated.
