1995 FENDER USA VINTAGE 1962 REISSUE, V SERIES1995 V Series Fender USA '62 reissue Stratocaster, nitro-cell Black body with mint green pickguard upgrade, rosewood board on a maple neck with a comfy 60s C profile, some fret and fretboard wear but plenty of life left in both. Low action. Comes with  original Fender tweed, orange lined case, pick-up cover tray, period correct short arm trem, tags, etc. These guitars came with a factory-fitted three-way pick-up selector switch together with a spare five way. This guitar now has the five way fitted, the three way is included in the sale. See pics,  all of actual guitar. The guitar has been gigged during its 21 years but is nonetheless in very good condition. Some marks to body and lacquer wear on neck. It's a naturally ageing guitar not an artificial relic done in a freezer and attacked with a digital sander ! True ageing, real mojo !The USA '57 and '62 reissue Strats were the first reissues of these iconic American guitars and are the precursors of the modern Fender Custom Shop reissues of today. The V series reissues are considered by many to be equal to, if not better than, the current Custom Shop reissues. They are now becoming particularly sought after among collectors and players due to the fact that the price of these V series Strats is increasing all the time making them a good investment as well as a great guitar to play. The V series Strats are valued for the quality of the guitars. For a decade or so from the mid-1980s - early Custom Shop* days - Fender did a great job of recreating the original '57 and '62 Strats in the V series. The only thing they didn't do due the high cost of re-tooling was to place the 12th fret dot markers in the exact same wide positions as the originals. Other than that the V series guitars are genuine recreations of those wonderful pre-CBS models. You can pay upwards of a couple of grand for a pre-owned modern Custom Shop Strat but why pay £100s more than necessary just to get a CS transfer on the back of a headstock ???? Dealers would be asking something in the region of £1500-£1600 for this guitar.  At £1250 ovno someone will get a bargain. (No stupid offers please, holiday-makers and punters should try elsewhere).Payment by Paypal accepted. Also bank transfer or cash on collection. No cheques.Free shipping to UK.
* The Fender Custom Shop began in 1987 with the primary intent to create instruments in the tradition of Leo Fender providing the accuracy, detail, and quality that were widely perceived as lacking under the ownership of CBS (1965-84).
