1975 Jose Ramirez 1A Classical Guitar (Stamped No. 10, Mariano Tezanos Castro)DESCRIPTIONThe guitar bears the marking "10" denoting one of the best aprentices in the Ramirez shop, Mariano Tezanos Castro.These vintage Ramirez guitars are definitely not for everyone, but, if you are looking for that legendary Parkening and Segovia-like sounding guitar, then you probably know that it is impossible to get that woody and mysterious tone in any other guitar. The guitar is as sweet as any of the top Ramirez guitars I have ever played with a lush and long sustaining high E string, robust and dark sounding basses and superb overall balance. No matter what the guitar literature you are playing this guitar will do great justice to your repertoire.It projects extremely well with loud volume while retaining a sweet tone and wonderful vintage Spanish voice. Unlike most other Ramirez guitars I have played, this guitar is not as murky sounding but rather it is has a wonderful clarity. BrZilian rosewood and cedar top.The scale of the guitar is the standard vintage Ramirez 664 mm. with a 52 mm. nut. The neck is very straight and . The action is about 4.1mm at the 12th fret on the bass side and about 3.6 mm. on the treble side. The guitar has no crack or structural issues. The finish contains checking on the top and though it can be felt to the touch the checking does not go through the wood. Greg Brandt, the famous luthier, performed a light test and there is no light going through the top. The back and sides are in superb condition. The entire guitar is in excellent original condition having been preserved in a humidity-controlled environment. Comes in an excellent condition Mark Leaf case ($600 value) If you are a player, like I am, I am certain that this guitar will knock your sox off. It had that effect on me the first time I played it.
