Description
I've built and sold app 15 of these what I call super short Leslies. they are good for two groups of people. those bands touring and are limited with space in their van or trailer, and the second group is studios who again are limited with space. these are great sounding Leslies. On YouTube please type in super short Leslie and see this in action.
this one I built out of a Leslie 25 cabinet. and I cut it down app 3". the dimensions are 31H 29L 18 1/2W . so it's much smaller that a 147 or 122. it's app 3" smaller that the shorty 145 and 2" less wide than all the standard Leslies. the weight doesn't change a lot, it's still heavy at app 120 lbs
everything is all rebuilt here. the amp has all tubes tested by me, the capacitors in the amp are not the original wax paper that should all be replaced, someone before me replaced some caps. I came back and put in the great Orange Drop caps for the power tubes. I've replaced the original caps in the crossover as well.
and yes this is two speed. I've put in two speed motors. and the rotor (or drum) spins in the opposite direction as the horn. just like the 122 and 147 do
I've used a very heavy duty Eminence 15" woofer. I've used an Atlas 16 ohm driver rated at 60 watts. so you'll probably never blow this stuff up since the amp is only 20 watts. though it's a low wattage amp this baby cranks, overdrives nicely and is loud enough for studios. small churches. and bands that aren't cranking serious volume. if you would like a louder amp I have those as well. they do cost more..
I've used this amp for practice and for a gig, got nothing but compliments on it
any questions or concerns please email or you can call me directly. Harold 626 217 4832
I now have my Hammond Leslie shop near downtown LA. if your band is coming through town and you'd like to check it out please get a hold of me
if you're overseas please be aware shipping can be $500-$1000
