Listed is a beautiful 1955 Gibson LG-1 acoustic guitar. It is a small body guitar, not full size. You get a beautiful, large and full tone out of this one. This is a historic piece of musical equipment. The serial has been verified by Gibson themselves, of course. The finish is a gorgeous Tobacco Sunburst with a tortoise shell pickguard, rosewood fretboard and bridge, ivory fret markers/tuner buttons/string buttons. Red spruce top with mahogany top, sides and back. I do want to make one thing VERY clear. This guitar is NOT in perfect/mint condition. It DOES need work but 99% of the damage here is repairable by a luthier. The only damage that is visible and NOT repairable is the crazing on the top of the finish. This is very typical in such a guitar. Otherwise, the following needs to be done : 1. Tuner buttons should be replaced.
2. Internal bracing needs to be glued due to age.
3. Top of guitar towards back/butt needs to be glued. It is a project guitar, but I know it's in good enough condition to become someone's daily player with very little work. This is an investment piece due to these, but it is a truly beautiful guitar and they don't come cheap. You can check other listings for yourself. I know you will enjoy it if you do buy it. **Side note** ... this guitar does NOT include the original case however I will include a case just for the sake or transit, but it will not be a heavy duty one.
